Shimmerwings are giant butterflies that live in the [[Turashtegal Jungle]]. On the rare occasion that they do reveal themselves they appear to be a different color depending on how the light is hitting them and the angle of the viewer. The Shimmerwings cocoons have the same wondrous shifting quality. Stupid or brave adventurers sometimes dare the dangers of the jungle to bring one of these magnificent cocoons back to be harvested and woven into silk. One cocoon can produce about four bolts of the finest silk in [[Gurutama]]. |

There is little known about these elusive beautiful creatures. There are a few rumors about the Shimmerwings possessing magical powers and playing tricks on the mind, or that they have a hallucinogenic poison, but no one really knows for sure.
